Pedal Mission is a grassroots movement founded by Anand Vanjape, a cycling enthusiast, and supported by citizens who believe in cycling as a sustainable mode of transport and a tool for social change.
The movement is made up of volunteers who organize events, raise awareness, and provide bicycles to those in need. Pedal Mission has no formal structure or hierarchy — it runs on a decentralized model, with local groups working independently but united by a common goal: to make bicycles accessible to everyone who needs them.
Despite being a people’s movement rather than a formal organization, Pedal Mission has already made a significant impact in promoting cycling and sustainable transport across India and beyond.
Pedal Mission acts as a bridge between need and support, connecting citizens, NGOs, and corporates in one shared vision of mobility, dignity, and sustainability.
You can donate your not-in-use bicycle, or fund new ones through the CityTurtles Foundation. Every cycle changes a life.
